JOHN WHITE CARPENTRY WINTER LEAGUE:
Thanks to our Captain, John White, for so generously sponsoring the Winter League again this year. All the individual scores for the league can be found on the Gold Coast Golf Club. website, goldcoastgolfclub.com and are updated weekly.
As with every other year as time progresses the league scores and positions change so much. With players on many teams approaching the magic 10 games, and the teams 160 games for their players. It’s interesting to take a snapshot as we head into 2020. One thing for certain the positions of the teams will change again. In the order of the Winter league spreadsheet the team is shown with the number of games and overall points total at present: Dungarvan 115 / 3396, Copper Coast 113 / 3488, Dunhill 124 / 3711, Nire / Tourneena 119 / 3505 , Ballinacourty 119 / 3571 , Abbeyside 132 / 3829.

Round 8 of the league has now been compiled and as per results above, there has been a big shake-up again in the results, the Liffey have retained first position with the Suir and the Lee in hot pursuit, there is still time to get your team in contention!!
As we are approaching midway in the league, we would ask all participants to support their teams by putting in their scores whether good or bad as low scores can be eliminated after 10rounds. At this stage, some teams are putting in a supreme effort with some ladies having completed their 10 rounds to date, this shows commitment to their teams and the concept of the winter league, well done ladies!!!
Senior Alliance
Our Senior Alliance which was scheduled to be played in the Gold Coast was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, it will be re-scheduled in the new Year, date to be advised.
Captains Drive In
Wishing our Captains John and Anne the very best for Sunday 5th Jan when they drive in the New year, please support them on the day by adding your name online for the fun scramble which takes place after the drive in at 9.30am
Congratulations
Congrats to Eilo Fitzgerald who was the lucky winner of a turkey in the WLR Hamper Appeal Raffle, well done Eilo!!
