FRED PERRY

Our Fred Perry team travelled to Mitchelstown Golf Club yesterday Sunday to take on the home team in a closely fought game but unfortunately, we were beaten after a great performance from our panel namely Kieran Cullinan/ Micheal Wall, Colm McArthur/ Lar Whelan, Tony Moore/ Nicky Hayes, Aodh O Murchu/James Darcy, Micheal Kavanagh/ Nicholas Power organised by Captains Bob O Brien/ Liam Clancy.  Well done to all involved, you did yourselves and the club proud.

INTER CLUB TEAMS

INTERMEDIATE TEAM

Katie Kiely, Karen Darcy, Leanne Bumster, Gillian Cashman and Inseun Kim under the guidance of their manager Rosie Murphy took on Tipperary GC on Saturday 6th May on home ground. The team members who teed off in perfect sunny conditions fought a great battle against a very strong and accomplished Tipp team and had to succumb to a superior side!!

The Tipperary ladies were very complimentary of our players and also our course which showcased itself spectacularly against the azure blue of Dungarvan Bay.

Congrats to our players who displayed some great golf, to the caddies and manager Rosie for a job well done!!

JUNIOR FOURSOMES

Our foursomes team who had a nail biting victory over Thurles GC take on our neighbours West Waterford in the next leg of the tournament, date and venue TBA

CARE OF GREENS AND BUNKERS

We would like to ask our players to please repair pitch marks on the greens, even if they are not your own!! Also to be vigilant to rake the bunkers, now that they are back in play.

MIXED FOURSOMES

Our mixed team are through to the second round after claiming victory over Williamstown GC, next is home to Clonmel on Sunday the 14th May.

HANDICAP COMMITTEE

Our Handicap secretary and committee are meeting on a regular basis to discuss the input from the ladies in accordance to their handicaps. A review will be on-going throughout the year in relation to above decision.

NEW MEMBER DEALS

Ladies, if you had ever thought of taking up golf, now is the time to do it, our Lady Captain Rosie and any committee member would be delighted to take out potential members and showcase our beautiful course and unrivalled scenery!!
