Despite the severe chilly conditions of the day, there were some fabulous scores returned. Congrats to the teams in the winning enclosure and well done to the ladies on the teams!!

9 Hole Scramble Results

Angela O’Connor, Breda Conway, Patricia Doyle, Ellen Foley. 27 Well done ladies !!

We had a marvelous turnout again this week for the first scramble of the year which was enjoyed by all. We were delighted to have Angela back on the fairways today, and the break did her good as she played fabulous golf for her team!! As the scramble was so successful today, it has now been decided to hold one every month, next Thursday will be back to normal stableford.

The midweek golf has proved to be very advantageous in keeping the swing active and playing other competitions in conjunction with the competition of the day!! Many thanks to Anne for continuing to organise the event with presentation of the most wonderful prizes each week!!

Ladies, we have a new consignment of club crested polo shirts in a range of trendy colours and club crested gilets now in stock. Our broad range of club clothing in mix and

match colours look very smart and make wonderful and useful gifts and are available from the kiosk!!

Congrats and well done to Lahinch (1484) on taking the trophy for the Winter league and to Ballybunion (1482) who put in a tremendous effort coming from the bottom of the leaderboard to runner- up position. Powerscourt who were holding their own in the lead position got toppled when last minute high scores came in from Lahinch and Ballybunion changing the team positions on a major scale. We had a 2 pt difference between 3 teams which had to go to countback to determine the eventual winners.

Additional prizes have been awarded to the best overall 10 & 18 hole players, Bridge Walsh and Elaine Nash respectively who played outstanding golf during the tournament!! Well done to the winning managers and teams and well done to all who put in a tremendous effort to make the league so enjoyable. Roll on next year!!

The team members are now limbering up after their initial golf lesson with the PRO which proved to be a great success. Onwards and Upwards for our teams!! Any updates in relation to above will be posted on the WhatsApp group. If you have any used or unwanted golf balls that you wish to dispose of, please drop them into bucket in ladies locker room. These will be used for practice and lessons for our Inter Club teams, many thanks to those who have added to the bucket. Much apprerciated!!

Our Handicap secretary and committee met to discuss the input from the ladies in accordance to their handicaps. A review will be on-going throughout the year in relation to above decision.

Ladies, if you had ever thought of taking up golf, now is the time to do it, our Lady Captain Rosie and any committee member would be delighted to take out potential members and showcase our beautiful course and unrivalled scenery!! There are great deals on offer for new members and beginners including tuition, please contact our Director of Golf Irene or Brian in the kiosk on 058 44055 for more information.
