WINTER LEAGUE 2020/21 (deadline for entry is Tuesday 6th October)
Members interested in playing in the Gold Coast winter league 2020/2021 should give their names into the kiosk. If you were not on a winter league team last year or if you are a new member to the Gold Coast Golf Club please give in your name to the kiosk on or before Tuesday 6th October.
Those who played on a Winter League team last year will be contacted directly to check availability for the coming season.

Due to the inclement weather forecast for Sunday 4th October it was decided to defer the April Medal to Sunday 18th October. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Here at the Gold Coast Golf Club we have a fantastic Gents Full Member rate for new members of only €450 inclusive of GUI fees. We also have a very attractive Gents Senior (65+) rate for new members which is only €350 including GUI fees.
We have great facilities here at the Gold Coast, a top class golf course maintained in excellent condition, outstanding greens and 18 holes open all year round.
Members can relax in the comfortable surroundings of our hotel bar and restaurant where there is delicious food served daily. We can also offer very attractive packages for dual membership to both the golf club and leisure centre and gym.

SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP OFFER TO GAA PLAYERS UNDER 36 YEARS OLD
The Gold Coast has had a long association with the GAA down through the years and as most of you know they now have a full-sized playing pitch available in the resort. To continue with this association, the management of the Golf Club decided to make a special price for membership of the Golf Club for players who currently play GAA and are under the age of thirty six.
On production of a valid GAA Club Membership Card, a player can now join the Gold Coast from now until 1st April 2021 for a once off payment of €250. This figure includes GUI and Club levies. This offer is available to members of all GAA Clubs in Waterford. Players under the age of 25 and in full time education can avail of Student Membership for €180.

Also, WhatsApp is being widely used now by the club and members to keep people informed of events, live as they happen. So get yourself on to the Gold Coast GC WhatsApp group. The WhatsApp proved very useful this week with a message about the Winter League and the postponement of the April Monthly medal. Well worth joining this communication medium.

WINTER LEAGUES
Our winter leagues will be starting shortly, giving our members a choice of 10 holes for the ladies or joining the men’s 18 hole event. Sheets are now posted in kiosk for names of interested members who wish to commit to playing a minimum of 10 rounds per league. The entry fee for the 10 Hole Winter League will be €10 registration and €3 per round for 10 rounds payable on first day of play, total €40 per team member. Please make yourself aware of rules and conditions of play plus any updates in relation to impending leagues posted in our WhatsApp group!!! For those ladies intending to play the men’s winter League, please keep yourself informed by checking the Gold Coast whatsApp group for regular updates, closing date for both leagues is strictly 6th October.

EILEEN MURPHY MEMORIAL TROPHY
Our representatives for this annual event held in Cork GC this year were Rosie Murphy and Elaine Nash who romped home with a fabulous score of 40pts, 1 shot away from the winning score of 41pts. Due to Covid 19 the normal foursomes format was replaced with a fourball format with our girls playing off reduced
handicaps, Rosie off 9 and Elaine off 16 bringing home a fantastic score!! We here at the Gold Coast are extremely proud of our girls and congratulations to you both on a job well done!!
