INTER CLUB TEAMS

JUNIOR FOURSOMES

Our Foursomes team under the guidance of their manager Elaine who had a nail biting victory over our neighbours West Waterford recently took on Waterford Castle on Sunday 4th June in what could be described as scintillating!!

Our ladies took on a seriously strong team from Waterford Castle in a battle of wits to the end. For most part of the front 9 the opposition held the upper hand but the faith in the team from their manager Elaine was palpable!!

Our girls took off down the back 9 with a spring in their step and picked off the opposition on the 17th green to win the match!! Well done to our ladies for a marvelous win and to Waterford Castle ladies for a superb performance, they were very gracious in their defeat.

There was a large representation of supporters from our own club on the course and they are to be admired for their decorum throughout the entire match, much appreciated by manager and team. Thank you!

We wish Elaine and the team the very best of luck for the area semi-final, dates and venue TBA. All information will be posted in our What’sApp group.

A huge thank you to our wonderful team and magnificent manager Elaine for their steadfast enthusiasm and effort put into each event!!

CARE OF GREENS AND BUNKERS

We would like to ask our players to please repair pitch marks on the greens, even if they are not your own!! Also please rake bunkers.

MIXED FOURSOMES

Our mixed foursomes team are limbering up to take on their next challenge after their victorious win over Clonmel GC recently. It has just been announced that they meet Tramore on their home course on Sat 10th June. Support for the team would be much appreciated on the day!!

Wishing our team members and managers John and Aisling the very best of luck for their upcoming match!!

HANDICAP COMMITTEE

Our Handicap secretary and committee are meeting on a regular basis to discuss the input from the ladies in accordance to their handicaps. A review will be on-going throughout the year in relation to above decision.

MARKING OF CARDS

Golf Ireland guidelines have stated that all 3 handicaps must be recorded on cards for competition and casual

rounds for handicap purposes. To avoid disqualification you must record your h/cap index, playing h/cap and most importantly the course h/cap, all of these are available on the Golf Ireland app and also on screen when you log in for competitions. It is also important not to enter a zero for stableford competitions as it interferes with standard scratch, if you blank a hole just record the shots as the computer will adjust accordingly. All scores must be recorded by the marker and signed in agreement with the player before being returned no later than 30mins after you finish your round.

NEW MEMBER DEALS

Ladies, if you had ever thought of taking up golf, now is the time to do it, our Lady Captain Rosie and any committee member would be delighted to take out potential members and showcase our beautiful course and unrivalled scenery!! There are great deals on offer for new members and beginners including tuition, please contact our Director of Golf Irene or Brian in the kiosk on 058 44055 for more information.
