The final of this year’s winter league takes place next Sunday 2nd April with the first tee off time at 10am. We wish both Nire/ Tourneena and An Rinn all the best in the final. Will it be two in row for An Rinn or will the men from the Nire/Tourneena turn the tables, that’s the question, watch this space. Presentation of Prizes will take place in the Dugout Bar after the Final.
ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS
Annual Subscriptions are now due for the membership season 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024. Thank you to all our members for their continued loyalty and support. An information email has been forwarded to members advising of the rates and payment methods etc. Golf Insurance is also available at a cost of €30. If you were not in receipt of an email or your email address has changed please let the office know so we can update our database.

Our championship golf course is maintained in excellent condition offering superb playability, with 18 holes open all year round. Our pristine greens are much admired and the scenery is spectacular with unrivalled views of Dungarvan Bay, the Irish Sea and Helvick Head.
Members can relax in the comfortable surroundings of our hotel bar and restaurant where delicious food is served by our friendly staff. We can also offer very attractive packages for dual membership to both the golf club and leisure centre.

CASUAL ROUNDS
A fee of 5 euros is to be paid when playing non-competitive rounds for handicap purposes. Members cannot play casual rounds on competition days. There is no restriction on members playing where rounds are being used to get a club handicap.
CLUB NEWS
The order of merit winner will now be awarded the car park space previously given to the scratch match play winner.
The new tee box on the 12th will be ready for the Captain’s Prize while the tee box on the 17th is nearing completion.
The new score cards and index changes will be rolled out as soon as summer rules come in to play. Relief will be allowed for all stakes trees.
INTER CLUB COMPETITIONS
Practice for the Purcell and Mixed are ongoing now. Golf Ireland have made changes to the areas for inter club competitions. We now have just have a Munster East and West divide which means longer traveling for away teams. It may affect our Golfer of the year competitions as no dates have been finalized.

Our Facebook page is now up and running which will help to promote the club to members and visitors alike. Contact the kiosk for details on the page or if you have photos or other items that you want included on the page. Well done to Leanne Bumster on taking on the role assisted by Neil Dermody.
DRESS CODE
Our dress code for the Gold Coast is slacks and polo shirts. Please note sports jerseys, jeans and track suit bottoms are unacceptable on the golf course. Thank you for your adherence.

EASTER SCRAMBLE
We are holding our annual Easter fun scramble on Sunday 2nd April. This is always a great outing for our ladies and not to be missed, please bring an Easter egg or any prize for the fun presentation. Entries will be online and also on sheet in kiosk, don’t forget to add your name.
LAMB COMPETITION
The 10 Hole Lamb competition is coming to a close with last entries on Fri 31st Mar. Winners will be announced at Easter Scramble presentation.

GOLD COASTERS
Due to inclement conditions over the past three weeks, we have been unable to play our Thursday 9 hole fun competition. Hopefully next week will bring us more favourable conditions!!
The midweek golf has proved to be very advantageous in keeping the swing active and playing other competitions in conjunction with the competition of the day!! Many thanks to Anne for continuing to organise the event with presentation of the most wonderful prizes each week!!

Ladies, we have a new consignment of club crested polo shirts in a range of trendy colours and club crested gilets now in stock. Our broad range of club clothing in mix and match colours look very smart and make wonderful and useful gifts and are available from the kiosk!!
INTER CLUB TEAMS
The team members are resuming golf lessons again after a break due to the inclement conditions with the PRO which is proving to be a great success. Onwards and Upwards for our teams!! Any updates in relation to above will be posted on the WhatsApp group. If you have any used or unwanted golf balls that you wish to dispose of, please drop them into bucket in ladies locker room. These will be used for practice and lessons for our Inter Club teams, many thanks to those who have added to the bucket. Much appreciated!!
MIXED FOURSOMES
Practice is underway for the upcoming mixed teams with Aisling taking our ladies on board and putting them through their paces. A big thank you to Aisling for taking on this task, but rest assured our ladies will certainly benefit from her input!!
HANDICAP COMMITTEE
Our Handicap secretary and committee met to discuss the input from the ladies in accordance to their handicaps. A review will be on-going throughout the year in relation to above decision.
