INTERCLUB TEAM CAPTAINS
As the new inter club season begins, we acknowledge the vital role that the team captain plays. It involves making a lot of tough decisions. One of the hardest calls the team captain has to make is naming his panel. This inevitably leads to disappointment for some players. We ask that all potential members of team panels respect the difficult task that the captains face. We thank our team captains and wish them and their teams the best of luck in the upcoming competitions.

THANK YOU
Thanks to Irene for the lovely welcome back last week, it’s great to be involved even if it’s only with the pen!! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my friends and golf buddies for your get well messages and phone calls during the last few weeks.
Your support and encouragement was what I needed and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!
MARKING OF CARDS
Golf Ireland guidelines have stated that all 3 handicaps must be recorded on cards for competition and casual rounds for handicap purposes. To avoid disqualification you must record your h/cap index, playing h/cap and most importantly the course h/cap, all of these are available on the Golf Ireland app and also on screen when you log in for competitions. It is also important not to enter a zero for stableford competitions as it interferes with standard scratch, if you blank a hole just record the shots as the computer will adjust accordingly. All scores must be recorded by the marker and signed in agreement with the player before being returned no later than 30mins after you finish your round.
NEW MEMBER DEALS
Ladies, if you had ever thought of taking up golf, now is the time to do it, our Lady Captain Isobel and any committee member would be delighted to take out potential members and showcase our beautiful course and unrivalled scenery!! There are great deals on offer for new members and beginners including tuition, please contact our Director of Golf Irene or Brian in the kiosk on 058 44055 for more information.
