COURSE NEWS

We are now in full summer rules and we ask all members and visitors to continue repairing marks on the greens and replacing their divots on the fairways.  Please also adhere to our dress code on the course, football shorts or tracksuit bottoms are not acceptable on the course. While playing the 7th hole we ask players to be mindful of players approaching from the 9th fairway if your ball should wander in the wrong direction from where it was intended to go. Please remember to shout fore to avoid hitting a fellow golfer.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS REMINDER
Annual Subscriptions are now due. An information email has been forwarded to members advising of the rates and payment methods etc. Golf Insurance is also available at a cost of €30. If you were not in receipt of an email or your email address has changed please let the office know so we can update our database.  Thank you to members who have already paid.

BARTON SHIELD

Hard luck to Captain Martin Morris and his team who after a gallant effort last Saturday were beaten by Youghal on their home course, well done to all involved.

SENIOR CUP

In a fantastic encounter our Senior Cup team lost on the 23rd hole to Faithlegg last Wednesday evening. Well done to all the players for the great effort they put in on the day and in the lead up to the match.

PIERCE PURCELL

VICE CAPTAINS PRIZE

Our vice-Captain Michael Wall’s prize took place last Sunday in brilliant sunshine with some good scoring been posted.  The results were as follows: 1st Peter Hayes, 2nd Kaelan Walsh, 3rd Conor Clancy, Gross Neil Dermody, High Handicap Mick Walsh, 4th Lee Crotty.

GOLF LESSONS

Golf lessons with Colm Carew commenced last Wed 27 Apr in group sessions & will continue with on course tuition for a duration of 6 weeks. There is still 1 space remaining in  each of the 6pm & 6.45pm classes & is open to all members
