LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS APPEAL
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Lions Club Appeal by entering competitions, buying Christmas cards and raffle tickets. The draw took place yesterday Sunday attended by members of the Lions Club and Officers of the Club. The results of the draw can be seen below. A cheque for €2,500 was presented to the Lions Club. We want to thank our sponsors for your continued support each year and James Lynch for designing the beautiful Christmas cards for the Appeal. Thank you to the Goldcoast Golf Club Management team for your generosity to the event each year, to the staff at both the Kiosk and Hotel for all the selling of tickets. Winter Rules are in operation. 18 Holes are in play. Placing on both fairways and rough. Please be aware of the yellow stakes around the greens to prevent damage by trollies. CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHT
We had our Christmas night out on Sunday 10th December when our ladies partied at the Moorings Bar & Restaurant. After a sumptuous meal served by the wonderful staff, Lady Captain Elaine got on with the scramble presentation and raffle for which she had some beautiful prizes!!
The sing along happened after multiple glasses of alcohol in various guises were consumed and the giddy nature of all the participants. It was a fantastic night out and congratulations to all involved in making it happen. It was a really enjoyable event, and a big Thank You to the staff for making it so memorable!!!
GOLD COASTERS CHRISTMAS LUNCH
Here we were partying again, this time in the Goldcoast Hotel on Thursday 14th Dec which was organised so efficiently by our President Anne.
After the meet and greet, we ordered our food from a very varied and delicious menu, it was hard to choose!!
However, everyone got it right because there were cleaned plates going back to the kitchen, a big Thank You to our chef Carlos, to Anna, Pat and Michael for their excellent service!!
When we were all sated and full, Anne proceeded with the raffle with all gifts wrapped and a pot luck choice when your name was pulled!! The prizes were brilliant and all were totally useful, from mugs to miniature Xmas lights, scented candles to hats, scarves and golf balls.
Thanks a mill Anne and all involved for another wonderful occasion. Wishing all our Gold Coasters the Happiest Christmas and looking forward to a Bright and Healthy New Year, rock on 2024!!
