JIMMY BRUEN COMPETITION
We played our neighbours West Waterford Golf Club in this competition on Saturday at home and again we claimed victory on the 19th playoff hole after a great performance from our four pairs under the Management of John White and Martin Murray. Thank you to West Waterford for a sporting game. The Goldcoast team was as follows Ivan O Connor and Stephen Kiely, Brian McGill and Darragh Power, John White and Nicky Dee, Darren Williams and Tommy Long. Reserves Micheal Kavanagh and Larry Whelan. Well done to all involved.
INTER CLUB COMPETITIONS
A busy weekend lies ahead next weekend with our inter Clubs teams in action. First off on Saturday are our Purcell team led by Captains Alan Darcy and Micheal Kavanagh who take on Tramore at home in the Gold Coast at 3pm. Following that at 3.45 pm our Mixed Team under the guidance of Aisling Fennell and John Hallahan take on Williamstown at home again. Then on Sunday our Fred Perry Team make the journey to Cobh to take on the home team at 12.30pm under the watchful eye of Bob O’Brien and Liam Clancy. We wish all players and management the very best of luck support at home and away and support from members over the two days would be very much appreciated.
THE COURSE
Please remember to repair all divots on the fairways and pitch marks on the greens. Please check with Kiosk regarding current conditions of play. We look forward a great year of golf here on our little gem of a course.

INTER-CLUB CARTON CUP
Our ladies under the management of Breda Veale took on Waterford Castle on Saturday in the 9 Hole 2 leg match – play on home turf. They were delighted with the result of 3-2 to the Gold Coast but had a play-off to secure the outright winner. The result all hinged on going back up the 1st and Aine didn’t let the team down in clinching the win, wishing you all the best for the next round!!!
GOLD COASTERS
We had a great turnout on Thursday as we played our 10 holes in glorious sunshine and perfect conditions. The weather definitely reflected the scoring on the day with some great returns. The coffee and chat in the bar afterwards was both hilarious and informative with prized nuggets of information to be retained for life!!!
Thanks again to Anne for organising our event and the most fabulous prizes every week. I think at this stage everybody looks forward to Thursday!!!!

Our boys under the management of John White and Martin Murray took on our near neighbours West Waterford in the Bruen match play on Saturday in glorious sunshine and perfect golfing conditions on home soil.
Not to be outdone by our ladies, our boys beat the opposition with another tight finish ending in a win for the Goldcoast. Congratulations to the managers, team and caddies and the very best of luck for the next round.
INTERMEDIATE FOURSOMES
Our fabulous Intermediate team who had a great win over Faithlegg on home soil, now take on their near neighbours Waterford Castle again on home course on the 24th May.

GOLF IRELAND SILVER & BRONZE MEDALS
This year we have entered the Silver and Bronze Medal Competition. The h/cap categories for each are as
follows: Silver – h/cap index up to and including 20.0, Bronze – h/cap index of 20.1 and higher. The club winner for each will be the player who returns the lowest aggregate of 3 net scores in stroke competitions in both Silver and Bronze categories from the 1st April to 31st July.
Both winners will represent the club in the Regional Final in W/Waterford and subsequently onto Final!!
