GOLD COASTERS

Our ladies took a day off from golf to visit the beautiful gardens of Mount Congreve on Thursday 8th June in glorious sunshine. After our meet-up at 11.30am we sojourned to the cafe for the proverbial coffee and scones after which we took to the task in hand, which garden route to take??

We decided to start with the Fragrant and Walled Garden walk not intending to take on the Woodland walk, but somehow ended up on it!! As the group progressed, it split into two smaller groups and we had Mary as our tour guide who was confident we were going in the right direction to get back to base. After a few cul-de-sacs and wrong turns we were very fortunate to see the most beautiful floral displays totally hidden from the designated route. Mary your term as tour guide may be extended with conditions attached!!

We relocated again to the cafe for lunch and chat about our next day out before we dispersed for home. It was a

most enjoyable day with fabulous weather, enjoyable food and fantastic company..thanks to Anne for organising the day, one to remember!!!!!

All members new and longstanding are welcome to join us, and there is no handicap limit. We play a 9 Hole singles each week with the exception of a monthly scramble which is proving very popular with everyone!!

Many thanks to Anne for continuing to organise the event with presentation of the most wonderful prizes each week!!

CARE OF GREENS AND BUNKERS

We would like to ask our players to please repair pitch marks on the greens, even if they are not your own!! Also please rake bunkers, now that they are back in play.

MIXED FOURSOMES

Our mixed foursomes team took on Tramore on their home course on Sat 10th June amid mixed weather conditions. Our side played fabulous golf in ups and downs against a very strong home team but had to succumb to a superior side!!

The on-course commentary from Elaine aka (Teresa Mannion) and her team was excellent, it was as good as being there!! Thanks a mill ladies, RTE are recruiting!

Well done to our fabulous team and their managers John and Aisling who gave us so much entertainment with their fascinating golf, we are very proud of you all!!

Support on the day for the team was much appreciated with a large turnout from the Gold Coast. Wishing Tramore the very best of luck for their upcoming match!!
