CAPTAINS DRIVE IN
Our Captains Seamus and Isobel got our golf year off to a flying start last Sunday morning when a large group of members joined them both on the 1st tee for their day on a dry crisp morning. This was followed by a mixed scramble. We then retired to the Hotel for some beautiful ribs and colcannon where the winners were announced and the presentation by our two Captains took place. Thank you to the staff of the Hotel for their service as always and our resident camera man Bob for his photos on and off the course. We wish both Captains every good wish for the 2022 season.

Due to the inclemency of the weather the timeframe of the lessons has to be discussed and dates confirmed. More details to follow, in the meantime keep it in mind as sheets will be posted for names of those interested!!
MARKING OF CARDS
Golf Ireland guidelines have stated that all 3 handicaps must be recorded on cards for competition and casual rounds for handicap purposes. To avoid disqualification you must record your h/cap index, playing h/cap and most importantly the course h/cap, all of these are available on the Golf Ireland app and also on screen when you log in for competitions. It is also important not to enter a zero for stableford competitions as it interferes with standard scratch, if you blank a hole just record the shots as the computer will adjust accordingly. All scores must be recorded by the marker and signed in agreement with the player before being returned no later than 30mins after you finish your round.
