Detailed Information About the Vouchers:

O’Neill House of Sport Vouchers:

  • Voucher Value: Each voucher is valued at €1000.
  • Eligibility: Upon entry each player can nominate a local sports club or school. The nominated institutions will be entered into a draw to win one of two €1000 vouchers.
  • Usage: The winning clubs or schools can use the vouchers to purchase a wide range of sporting equipment, apparel, and accessories from O’Neill’s House of Sport. This could include items such as team kits, training gear, sports equipment, and more.
  • Draw Details: The draw will be conducted at the end of the event. Every entry increases the chances for the nominated club or school, encouraging multiple entries.
Rules of the Competition:

Handicap Limits:

  • Gent’s Handicap Limit: Maximum handicap of 24.
  • Ladies’ Handicap Limit: Maximum handicap of 36.
  • Non-GUI Players: A special prize category will be available for participants without a Golf Ireland Handicap Index, ensuring everyone has a chance to win.

General Rules:

  • Team Composition: Teams of 3 players are required. They can be all male, all female, or mixed.
  • Entry Fees: Initial Entry: €25 per person. Re-entry: €10 per person (Participants can re-enter multiple times).
  • Scoring: One score to count on holes 1–12. Two scores to count on holes 13–18.
  • Handicap Calculation: Players will play off 75% of their Course Handicap.
  • Eligibility for Main Prizes: Participants must have a current Golf Ireland Handicap Index to qualify for the main category prizes.
Prize Eligibility:
  • Main Prizes: Awarded to the teams with the highest scores in each category (Gents, Ladies, Mixed).
  • Vouchers: All players are automatically entered into the draw for the O’Neill House of Sport Vouchers upon payment of the entry fee.
  • Tiebreaker Rules: In the event of a tie, the winners will be determined based on the back nine scores and, if still tied, then based on the last six, last three, etc., and finally the 18th hole.

Competition Committee Responsibilities:
  • The Competition Committee reserves the right to amend the rules of the competition before the start of the event.
  • Decisions made by the Competition Committee are final in all matters relating to the competition.
  • The Committee will ensure that all scores and handicaps are verified and that the prizes are awarded fairly and in accordance with the competition rules.
  • Any disputes or issues arising during the event will be handled by the Competition Committee and their decisions will be binding.
