GENTS WINTER LEAGUE
The Gold Coast Winter league will run from Oct. 25th 2025 to Feb. 22nd 2026. We currently have nine teams of thirteen players with the possibility of a tenth team. Thanks to Nicholas Power who secured sponsorship for this year’s league. The sponsors are Donnchadh Dunne, Electrical Contractor & Wholesale Electrical Supplies (WES), Dungarvan.

END OF YEAR PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY
This will be held on Saturday 22nd November at 6pm with finger food provided. All prizewinners will be informed and will be expected to turn up.

This year’s Men’s club AGM will be held on Sunday 23rd November at 5pm.

ON THE COURSE
Please remember the Three R’s: Rake Bunkers – Always rake the bunker after use, leaving it as you would hope to find it. Replace Divots – Replace and firmly press down any divots taken. Repair Pitch Marks – Repair your own pitch marks (and any others you see) on the greens to help keep surfaces smooth and true. Your cooperation helps maintain the course in excellent condition for everyone, thank you.

CLUB MIXED FOURSOMES
After many months and rounds of match play we are now down to the final pairings. The contenders have seen off some stiff competition in the run-up and the final should be a riveting match.
The final which has to be played before 4th Oct will be Alan Darcy/Karen Darcy v Eoin Mansfield/Eileen Good, the best of luck to both pairings on the day.

GOLD COASTERS
This week, we were back again to singles with a great turnout in beautiful sunny conditions. Great scores were returned with a nice run on the ball aiding those in the winners enclosure! As usual Anne procured some fantastic and unexpected prizes, this week they were of a flowering kind presenting the winners with planting bulbs. The winners were delighted and were going straight home to get planting!

WINTER LEAGUE
The draw sheet is now closed for the upcoming league and the committee are presently drawing up plans for the allocation this year’s teams which will be posted on
our group and in kiosk over the weekend. Terms and conditions will be posted with the draw, please check the notice board and app for information on start date and team Captain!!

PLAY IN PINK/RYDER CUP
This year our Play in Pink/Ryder Cup charity event took place on Sunday 28th Sept, with a huge entry of men and women. The sun shone brightly the atmosphere was electric with excitement and the outfits were a collage of pink in varying shades.
There was a large raffle after the presentation of prizes for some lovely prizes which raised funds for this very important and worthy cause!!
