GOLFER OF THE YEAR AND ORDER OF MERIT 2024

There are two counting rounds left before the Golfer of the year for 2024 is named along with the Order of Merit Winner for 2024 at the moment there are still many players who could claim the coveted title and the half sub that goes with Winning Golfer of The Year  To check the leaders in both competitions, check out our Gold Coast Golf WhatsApp page where all details can be viewed

WINTER LEAGUE

A subcommittee, consisting of Martin Morris, Michael Wall and Johnny Hughes was assigned the task of organising the Winter League. The league section will run from Saturday October 26th, 2024, to Friday 14th February 2025. The entry cost will be €25. The Matchplay format will stay the same, in other words there will be no categorisation of handicaps when the team captains are preparing their lineup. It was recommended to the subcommittee that they ask the team captains to bring another team representative with them to the meeting of subcommittee and team captains. Team captains would be asked to stress to all their team members the importance of playing at least the minimum of 10 rounds for their team. A meeting of team Captains and their Vice Captains will take place tonight Monday at 8pm in the hotel Captains will keep the teams updated following the meeting

DRESS CODE

We are appreciative of members and visitor’s adherence to the appropriate dress code on the golf course. Smart casual dress is essential and please note the following are unacceptable – denim jeans, singlets or collarless shirts, untailored shorts, track or leisure suits. Thank you for your adherence.

SILVER MEDAL
