CAPTAINS DRIVE-IN
Our Captains Drive-In and Scramble due to take place last Sunday was postponed due to the poor weather forecast but don’t despair a new date has been fixed for Wednesday 22nd April, with the Drive-In at 5pm followed by a scramble at 5.30pm. The timesheet is now open so get your name down and support our Captains for 2026. With the extra few weeks, it will give Captain Johnny and lady Captain Bridge extra time to fine tune their drives on the first.
INTER CLUBS
It’s that time of year again when the inter club fixtures are up and running and first up is the Purcell Shield which must be played by the 19th of April. With this in mind trials are been held this Wednesday evening at 6pm under the watchful eye of Micheal Kavanagh and Alan Darcy. HANDICAP REVIEW
Following the completion of this year’s winter league a handicap review will take place over the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for the postman.

Annual Subscriptions for the 2026/2027 membership season (1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027) are now due. Golf Insurance is available at a cost of €25. An information email has been sent to members outlining subscription rates and payment methods.

EASTER FEAST COMPETITION 10 & 18 HOLE
The Easter feast competition is now up and running with a choice of playing 10 or 18 holes, the entry is €5, please add your name in the relevant sheets provided. The prizes will be a Quinlan’s meat voucher, best of luck to all!
GOLD COASTERS
On Thursday in the absence of Anne we had our nine hole singles, organised by Deirdre on the day. The weather was dry and the course conditions were excellent which made it a very enjoyable round!!
There were some great scores returned especially from our Lady Captain Bridge, who won the competition.
Presentation of prizes took place in the hotel after lunch. Thanks a mill to Deirdre for running the event and presentation, thanks also to Mairead who bought the prizes for our last outing, everyone delighted with their winnings!!
A list of our proposed outings for the season are now posted on our WhatsApp group, there may be a few tweaks to the scheduled list but it’s an indicator of what’s on offer!!
SPRING LEAGUE SPONSORED BY COMSERV
Our Spring League kindly sponsored by our member Rosie Murphy of Comserv Pest Control Services has now gone into the match-play events which start with the quarter-finals to be played before Sat 28th March and the semi-finals played before Sun 12th April. Wishing the best of luck to all taking part in the match-play event!!

While both are very disappointed they didn’t expect the members to play in wet and blustery conditions, unfortunately the weather does not always work in our favour. Wishing them both the very best of luck for the re-scheduled date which is Wednesday 22nd April.
EASTER SCRAMBLE
Our annual Easter Scramble takes place on Sat 4th April which will be over 13 holes. There will be 2 chances to achieve nearest the pin on the 7th and 8th which will add to the fun!! We are asking all participants to bring an Easter egg or a surprise for the presentation!!
