PRESIDENTS PRIZE 2026
We congratulate both our Presidents namely Alan Darcy and Mary Sweeney on a wonderful weekend, from there scramble to the final day, everything went off a treat, they even organised the beautiful weather. Well done to all that took part over the weekend and well done to Lar Whelan, winner of the men’s section and Martina Corkery winner of the ladies for 2026. We would like to thank Aisling Fennell and Martina Corkery for looking after our food on Wednesday evening, Micheal Wall for suppling the sausages and burgers as always, to Rob and his team for the condition of the course in very testing weather. To Mark and Maura and all the hotel staff for the lovely meal. To Irene Conor and Mark Weldon for all their help. To Martin, Johnny, Frank, Micheal, Mark, and Brian for looking after cards and the results. And finally, to Mark Lenihan and the Mcgrath family for giving us this little gem of a course that we call home.

JOHN McGRATH MEMORIAL GOLF CLASSIC
This year’s John McGrath Memorial Golf Classic in aid of Dungarvan Community Hospital will take place from Monday 31st August to Sunday 6th September.
There’s plenty of time to get your team together, the competition will be a 3-Ball Champagne Scramble with two scores to count on all holes. The maximum handicap is 24 for men and 36 for ladies.
Prizes will be presented in the Men’s, Ladies’, Mixed and Non-Golf Ireland categories.
Entry is €90 per team for members and €150 per team for visitors.

Rake bunkers – Always rake the bunker after use, leaving it as you would like to find it.
Replace divots – Replace and firmly press down any divots you take.
Repair pitch marks – Repair your own pitch marks, and any others you notice, to help keep our greens in excellent condition.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and helps maintain the course for everyone’s enjoyment.

GOLD COASTERS
Our first scramble over 10 holes was a great success with a large turnout in fabulous sunny weather. The teams went out in fourballs which made for some very competitive golf and some great scores returned playing off scratch!! It was a fun event with everybody enjoying the format and the weather. LADY CAPTAIN’S OUTING
Our Lady Capt. Bridge is returning to home soil and hopefully bringing all the Gold Coast ladies with her for what will definitely be a wonderful day out!!
The venue is Cahir Park GC on Saturday 29th August with tea/coffee scones, golf and dinner, first tee at 1.30pm. The sheet is now posted in kiosk, so please add your name for a promised fun day out!!!
